Founded by former Malaysian Formula E racing technician Ah Chong after he lost his own electric car to a flooded street during the 2020 monsoon season, Golden Miles Garage now serves as Johor Bahru’s only workshop with a dedicated community outreach program — fixing EVs and offering free weekend charging clinics for low-income families.

After Ah Chong's electric car was stranded in floodwater during the 2020 monsoon season, he realized many locals lacked access to proper EV support. He turned his garage into a hub where, every Sunday, he offers free charging and basic maintenance checks for families who can’t afford them — all while keeping his business thriving.
